3O years ago I went to my first of three hair schools. At each one I’ve learned something different. The first school I attended in New Orleans was so long ago I cannot even remember the school’s name, or if it exists anymore. But I did learn something: client protection. The second school I went to was SASSOON, Los Angeles CA. Here I honed my skills in precision cutting, sectioning, and parting. The final school I completed was TONI & GUY in Costa Mesa, CA. I developed my texturing skills here and I also learned to have fun with a razor.

After years in the industry I landed a job at Jonathan Antin Salon West Hollywood, where I got my first taste of doing celebrity hair – which gave me lots of stories! I eventually moved on and went to work for Shorty’s Barbershop / Public Service Salon. I remained here for 14 years where the owner allowed me to do my own thing – which got me noticed. In 2013 I met my husband Chad and he changed my life. He was and is a prince in a sea of toads. He took me on a trip to the Midwest...it’s a longer story than that, but we will save it for the chair.
